Disciplinary action against 4 officials in Dak Nong in the wrongful conviction of a couple
The Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission has just decided to discipline four officials involved in the case of Mr. Le Truong (59 years old) and his wife, Ms. Ton Nu Kim Loan (57 years old, residing in Hamlet 8, Dak Ha Commune, Dak G'long District) who were wrongly convicted.
The four officials involved in the above-mentioned wrongful conviction include: Mr. Nguyen Du - Head of Dak R'lap District Police, former Deputy Head of the Investigation Police Agency, Deputy Head of Dak G'long District Police; Mr. Phan Van Chien - Director of the Institute of the People's Procuracy of Dak Mil District, former Director of the Institute of the People's Procuracy of Dak G'long District; Mr. Nguyen Van Tam - Deputy Chief Inspector of the Inspection and Complaints Department of the People's Procuracy of Dak Nong Province, former Deputy Director of the Institute of the People's Procuracy of Dak G'long District; Mr. Pham Van San - Prosecutor of the Department of Temporary Detention, Temporary Detention and Execution of Sentences, the People's Procuracy of Dak Nong Province, former Deputy Director of the Institute of the People's Procuracy of Dak G'long District.
The above individuals committed violations and shortcomings in performing their assigned duties and responsibilities, and did not comply with regulations in the process of prosecuting Mr. Le Truong and Ms. Ton Nu Kim Loan in the criminal case that occurred in Dak Ha commune, Dak Glong district, leading to wrongful convictions.
The Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission decided to issue a disciplinary warning to Mr. Nguyen Du, Nguyen Van Tam and Pham Van San.
The Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission decided to discipline Mr. Phan Van Chien with a reprimand.

In Decision No. 1001/QD-TTg dated September 18, 2024, the Prime Minister decided to discipline Ms. Vu Thi Mai, former Deputy Minister of Finance, by reprimand.
The above individuals have committed violations and shortcomings in their work and have been subject to party discipline.
