Mr. Vo Chi Cong - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Can Tho City Party Committee, during his tenure as a member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee, violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks...
Individuals: Nguyen Bat Coi - former member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province; Le Ngoc Soi - former member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Hung Yen province have degraded in political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle; violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity.
At the same time, violating the regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, causing very serious consequences, public outrage, and negatively affecting the reputation of the Party organization and the agency or unit.
Based on the content, nature, extent, consequences, and causes of the violation; according to the Party's regulations on disciplining violating Party members, the Politburo decided to take disciplinary action against Mr. Vo Chi Cong; The Secretariat decided to take disciplinary action to expel individuals: Nguyen Bat Hoai and Le Ngoc Soi from the Party.
Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Province Le Duc Giang and 3 subordinates were prosecuted
The Investigation Police Agency, Ministry of Public Security has just prosecuted 4 defendants who are leaders and officers of the State Management Agencies of Thanh Hoa province in the case that occurred at Thien An Phat Company and related units.
Accordingly, the Department of Investigation Police on Corruption, Economic Crimes, and Smuggling (Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency) is investigating the case of "Violating regulations on research, exploration, and exploitation of resources; Violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences", occurring at Thien An Phat Mineral Joint Stock Company (abbreviated as Thien An Phat Company) and related units.
Based on the investigation results, the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security issued a Decision to supplement the decision to prosecute the criminal case for the crime of "Abusing position and power while performing official duties", and at the same time issued a decision to prosecute the accused, an Order to arrest the accused for temporary detention, and a Search Order for 4 subjects, including:
Le Duc Giang - Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee;
Pham Van Hoanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Thanh Hoa province;
Nguyen The Hung - Head of the Department of Geology and Minerals, Department of Agriculture and Environment of Thanh Hoa province;
Nguyen Van Tam - Specialist of the Office of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee.
The subjects were prosecuted for the crime of "Abusing position and power while performing official duties", stipulated in Article 356 of the Penal Code.
After the Supreme People's Procuracy (Department 3) approved, the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security executed the above Decisions and Orders in accordance with the provisions of law.
