In the joyful atmosphere of celebrating the Party and celebrating Binh Ngo Spring 2026, with new belief and spirit, on February 24, General Secretary To Lam visited and wished Tet to officials and employees of Vietnam News Agency (VNA).
Also attending were Politburo members, Secretary of the Party Central Committee: Head of the Central Organization Committee Le Minh Hung; Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Trinh Van Quyet; Head of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army Nguyen Trong Nghia; Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Pham Gia Tuc.
Speaking at the visit and congratulations to officials, reporters, and employees of VNA in the early days of Binh Ngo spring, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that VNA is the main media agency of the Party and State, is the "information bank" of the Government, and is a bridge between the Party and the People and between the People and the Party.
That role is achieved by sacrifice, responsibility, and awareness of "the pioneer soldier on the ideological cultural front" who is trained over the years, challenged by difficulties, and affirmed by prestige.

The General Secretary requested that VNA do a good job of domestic and foreign propaganda, contributing to consolidating social consensus, strengthening trust, and spreading the image of a peaceful, stable, developed and compassionate Vietnam.
Each timely news item, each standard word, each photo with spreading power can become a "Space Ambassador", a "Digital Ambassador" of the country; not only reporting on Vietnam, but also contributing to positioning Vietnam in the eyes of international friends.
The General Secretary pointed out that it is necessary to proactively innovate technology, apply science and technology, especially AI and human advances, to the entire information production chain, from collection, verification, editing, distribution to data storage. Technology is a tool, not replacing humans. Journalists, if they do not master technology, will lag behind.
I hope TTXVN will go quickly and surely; both creatively and keeping standards; both modernly and keeping the soul of revolutionary journalism," the General Secretary expressed.

The General Secretary requested to continue to cover information to all regions, from urban to rural, from border to islands; and at the same time spread to friends around the world and the Vietnamese community abroad. Information from the Party and State must reach each citizen, in easy-to-understand language, in appropriate form, with respect and empathy. The voice of the People - concerns, aspirations, initiatives, and aspirations - must also be listened to and reflected truthfully and promptly to responsible agencies.
The General Secretary suggested and strengthened synchronous coordination in the political system and with relevant forces, to build a solid information "shield": promptly and resolutely fight against fake news, toxic information, and distortions; and at the same time disseminate kindness, positivity, and trustworthiness. Journalism today is not only about reporting but also about maintaining peace in the spiritual space of society.
The General Secretary proposed to strengthen the fostering of bravery - personality - culture - professional ethics, considering it the most sustainable foundation. Technology can change every day, the transmission foundation can change every month; but the qualities of journalists - spirit of serving the Fatherland, serving the people; honesty; impartiality; kindness are unchanged. Each VNA journalist always asks themselves: what does this news stream help the country, the people with? Does this word make people understand each other better, trust each other more, love the country more and live better?
At the beginning of spring, the General Secretary wished VNA to continue to maintain its glorious tradition, strongly innovate, unite as one, and rise to a new height - worthy of being the reliable information artery of the country, the fulcrum of social trust, and the standard and humane voice of Vietnam in the new era.
