The National Assembly Standing Committee has just issued Resolution No. 1252/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Ca Mau province for the 2023-2025 period.
Accordingly, the National Assembly Standing Committee resolved to arrange commune-level administrative units in Ca Mau city as follows:
Adjust a part of natural area of 0.27 km2, population size of 146 people of Ward 4 to merge into Tan Xuyen Ward. After adjustment, Tan Xuyen Ward has a natural area of 20.70 km2 and population size of 9,838 people.
Merge the entire natural area of 1.61 km2, population of 12,614 people of Ward 4 after adjustment according to regulations and adjust part of the natural area of 0.57 km2, population of 4,116 people of Ward 9 to merge into Ward 2.
After the arrangement, Ward 2 has a natural area of 2.43 km2 and a population of 23,478 people.
After adjustment according to regulations, Ward 9 has a natural area of 6.47 km2 and a population of 14,205 people.
After the arrangement, Ca Mau city has 16 commune-level administrative units, including 9 wards and 7 communes.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Phu Tan district as follows:
Adjust a part of the natural area of 1.43 km2, population of 578 people of Nguyen Viet Khai commune to merge into Cai Doi Vam town.
After adjustment, Cai Doi Vam town has a natural area of 24.00 km2 and a population of 18,926 people.
After adjustment according to the provisions at Point a of this Clause, Nguyen Viet Khai commune has a natural area of 107.05 km2 and a population of 17,363 people.
After the arrangement, Phu Tan district has 9 commune-level administrative units, including 8 communes and 1 town.
After rearranging commune-level administrative units, Ca Mau province has 9 district-level administrative units, including 8 districts and 1 city; 100 commune-level administrative units, including 82 communes, 9 wards and 9 towns.
This Resolution comes into force from December 1, 2024.
The Government, People's Council, People's Committee of Ca Mau province and relevant agencies and organizations are responsible for organizing the implementation of this Resolution; arranging and perfecting the apparatus of local agencies and organizations; stabilizing the lives of local people, ensuring the requirements of socio-economic development, national defense and security in the area.
The Government directed relevant ministries and the Ca Mau provincial government to continue researching and developing appropriate reorganization plans for administrative units that are subject to reorganization but have not yet been reorganized in the 2023-2025 period.
Determine the roadmap to complete the necessary standards and conditions to ensure the implementation of the arrangement in the following years in accordance with regulations.
