Dong Thap Electronic Information Portal reported that on the morning of October 22, in Thap Muoi commune, Mr. Tran Van Dung - Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee - chaired a working session with the communes: Thap Muoi, Truong Xuan, My Quy, Ba Sao, Doc Binh Kieu on the operation of local government at the commune level and implementation of socio-economic development tasks in 2025.
The leaders of the communes reported on the operation of local authorities at the commune level and the results of implementing socio-economic development tasks. Accordingly, many localities have achieved positive results in crop restructuring, developing smart agricultural models, building cultural life, sustainable poverty reduction, etc.

However, communes still face some difficulties and limitations in the process of operating the government under the new model, limited facilities, and staffing that do not meet job requirements.
To serve local socio-economic development, communes also recommend that the province's specialized agencies speed up the progress of public investment projects; invest in information system equipment, invest in irrigation infrastructure to serve agricultural production, support career funding sources, etc.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Dung requested leaders of communes to continue to promote the spirit of proactiveness and creativity in operations, improve the capacity of grassroots staff, promote administrative reform associated with serving people and businesses.
Mr. Dung suggested that communes focus on effectively implementing key tasks in 2025, resolutely working in Party and government building; strive to achieve the economic growth target of over 8%, especially in the field of high-tech agricultural development, rural transport infrastructure construction and good implementation of social security policies.
