Early completion of upgrading A Pa Chai opening into a border gate is an important content at the talks between the two delegations of Vietnam and China Border Guards.

On October 29, in Pu'er City, Yunnan Province, China, a meeting took place between the delegation of the Pu'er Border Management Team, Muong Khang Immigration Border Inspection Station (China) and the delegation of the Border Guard Command of Dien Bien Province (Vietnam). This is the 12th regular meeting in 2024.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed and evaluated the results achieved in the coordination work on border and border gate management; combating cross-border crimes and activities to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam - China Friendship Station. At the same time, they discussed and agreed to continue to deepen the law enforcement cooperation mechanism in the "Green Triangle" area (trilateral cooperation area); Coordinate in disseminating bilateral laws and popularizing legal education to people on both sides of the border.

The two sides agreed to promote cultural and sports exchanges and expand twinning activities to contribute to enhancing and consolidating the spirit of friendship between the border protection forces of the two sides.

The two sides also agreed to increase exchanges and coordination with forces to promote, soon complete and officially open the bilateral border gate of A Pa Chai (Vietnam) - Long Phu (China).

The 13th annual meeting will be held alternately at an appropriate time, hosted by the Dien Bien Provincial Border Guard Command in Dien Bien Phu City, Dien Bien Province (Vietnam).
