On April 12, the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Administrative Management Police Force for Social Order was organized by the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security.
Presenting the anniversary speech, Major General Vu Van Tan - Director of the Department of Police for Administrative Management of Social Order (C06) emphasized that from the early days of residence management and citizen identification without legal basis, from fragmented manual management to management by household registration books and paper archives, to now management of information technology systems with the National Population Database creates real-time data, connects exploitation and eliminates paper records.
From no citizen identification to having a unique identification by identity card, to now there is identification by chip-integrated ID cards integrating many types of international ICAO standard papers ensuring inter-connected use, international inter-connection and the pinnacle of current technology is electronic ID cards on the National ID platform, on the VNeID application, people at home connect without having to present ID cards...
In the period when the whole country joined hands with the Party and the State to enter the digital age, the C06 Police force was invested in regular - modern by the Party and the State, assigned the responsibility of operating and managing the National Population - ID - Identification and Electronic Authentication Database.
Has advised the Party Committee of the Central Public Security, the Ministry of Public Security to submit to the Government for promulgation and implementation of Project 06 with 5 objectives: reducing administrative procedures, needing to attach dossiers and promote direct public services; developing digital citizens; developing the digital economy; creating a common data warehouse to serve connection and sharing; planning a large policy to bring Vietnam up 15 places to 71/193 countries in e-government.
And according to the assessment announced by NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology of the United States), Vietnam is one of the first countries, along with France, Spain, Slovakia, and the United States, to announce that it meets the highest facial authentication standard (through the VNeID app) Ibeta lever2. In 4 years, the implementation of Project 06 has helped save 46,207 billion VND from public services, creating data lookup, and economic development. In 2025 alone, saving more than 12,000 billion VND.
According to Director Vu Van Tan, 80 years of building, fighting and growing up, there are many brave examples who have sacrificed for the cause of protecting the happiness of the people. Those examples will forever be a beautiful image of the C06 Police soldier "From the people, to serve the people".
80 years of being loved, trusted, and protected by the people, the Police Force C06 has achieved many achievements, and the Party and State have recognized the great contributions of the force with many noble awards: Ho Chi Minh Order for the force in 2006; Title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces in 2022 and Ho Chi Minh Order, First-class Fatherland Protection Order.
At the Anniversary Ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung awarded the Ho Chi Minh Order and the First-class Fatherland Protection Order to representatives of the C06 Police force and this Department.
