On the morning of December 15, the 81st National Public Security Conference solemnly opened in Hanoi.
Speaking at the Conference, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh assessed that the People's Public Security Force (CAND) affirmed its role as "3 pioneers" and "3 role models" in effectively implementing the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws and the functions, tasks and authority of the public security sector.
The Prime Minister stated that 2026 is of special significance to the People's Public Security Forces, as the first year of disseminating and implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 8th Central Public Security Party Congress; in addition to advantages and opportunities, it also poses great challenges for the task of public security work.
Therefore, in 2026, the police force must continue to innovate more strongly, be more proactive and more professional, clearly demonstrating its core role in protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety and being a solid support for the people.
The People's Public Security force must carry out the emulation movement "3 best": "Most disciplined - Most defensive - Most proficient" and the police work in the new era must ensure "3 best": "Best security and order - Best contribution to the development of the country - Best service for the people", playing a role in creating a safe and healthy environment for double-digit economic growth.
Agreeing with the set directions and tasks, the Prime Minister emphasized that key groups of tasks need to be focused on.
In particular, focusing on absolutely protecting the security and safety of the 14th National Congress of the Party and electing 16th National Assembly deputies, electing People's Council deputies for the 2026-2031 term.
Build a solid fortress of political stability, "steel shield for strategic security", a solid foundation for social order and safety, "national fire wall in cyberspace" and "a strong people's heart position on the ideological front".
