According to initial information, at around 5:00 p.m. on December 15, the car with license plate 18A-012.xx was traveling on Vo Chi Cong Street from the inner city to Nhat Tan Bridge. When approaching the Xuan La - Vo Chi Cong intersection, the vehicle suddenly emitted white smoke from the roof area, then the fire broke out, causing the driver to panic and stop the vehicle.
Discovering the incident, Captain Pham Le Bien, an officer of Road Traffic Police Team No. 2 (Traffic Police Department, Hanoi City Police) on duty in the area, quickly ran into a house to borrow fire extinguishers, coordinated with the authorities to urgently put out the fire, and promptly control the fire.
Talking to reporters, the Commander of Traffic Police Team No. 2 said that immediately after receiving the report, the unit sent officers to the scene to direct traffic, ensure traffic safety and coordinate in handling the incident. After about a few minutes, the fire was completely extinguished. Fortunately, the incident did not cause any human casualties.
