On the afternoon of October 9, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting with representatives of outstanding businesses and entrepreneurs nationwide on the occasion of Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13.
Also attending the conference were Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc, representatives of leaders of ministries, departments, branches, and relevant agencies, along with 270 outstanding delegates representing corporations, general companies, associations, and enterprises.
In his opening speech, the Prime Minister stated that in recent times, we have achieved monthly results higher than the previous month, quarterly results higher than the previous quarter, year after year higher than the previous year and this term is expected to be higher than the previous term.
In that general result, there are contributions from the business community, entrepreneurs and the business community, entrepreneurs are also increasingly strong and mature.
The Prime Minister gave some examples of typical projects of Vietnamese enterprises such as My Thuan 2 Bridge, which is larger, more beautiful, longer, wider than My Thuan 1 Bridge but faster, cheaper; Long Thanh airport expected to be completed by the end of this year; steel arch structures of the Vietnam Exhibition Center in Dong Anh, Hanoi...
The head of the Government stated that it is necessary to continue to promote the spirit of confidence, pride, self-reliance, and autonomy to take longer steps, "going far to the sea, going deep into the ground, flying high in the sky", this is a great cause of the Party and the entire people, but the business community must play a pioneering, core, and exemplary role.
To do so, it is necessary to make breakthroughs in developing science and technology, innovation, digital transformation according to Resolution 57 of the Politburo; promote the role of the private economy as the most important driving force of the economy according to Resolution 68 of the Politburo, along with the state economy playing a leading role and the foreign-invested economy playing an important role.
The Prime Minister stated that it is necessary to open a mechanism to maximize the capacity, creativity and dedication of entrepreneurs.
Up to now, the Government, ministries, branches and localities are promptly and effectively implementing many policies on business development as well as urgently amending and supplementing laws related to investment and business.
Build a two-level local government, convert the state to a developed administrative foundation, proactively serving people and businesses.
The Prime Minister hopes that the business community will create new momentum and new motivation; always stand firm on their feet, strive for high growth, contribute to the implementation of the country's GDP growth target and together move up, develop together, and enjoy the fruits.
The Prime Minister suggested that delegates attending the conference share their thinking, vision and action, and give the Government comments on issues that are still facing, and things that cannot be done with the spirit of being a soldier, "if necessary, there will be no businessmen, and the whole country will turn them into things that are not possible, turn difficulties into easy, and make impossible things possible".
Entrepreneurs must rise up with the country and people, develop quickly and sustainably, and successfully achieve the two 100-year goals.
