Presenting the opening report at the Conference, Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Tam said that in the first 8 months of the year, thanks to the high determination, great efforts, and drastic actions of the entire political system, the people and the business community, our country's economy continued to achieve many achievements.
GDP growth in the first 6 months of the year reached 7.52%, the highest level in the same period of nearly 20 years, our country continues to be the country with the highest growth in the ASEAN region and is among the countries with the highest growth in the world.
State budget revenue in the first 7 months reached more than 80% of the estimate, an increase of nearly 27.8% over the same period, of which domestic revenue reached 81.8% of the estimate, and has been exempted, reduced, and extended by about 171.7 trillion VND in taxes, fees, and land rents to support production and business. 7-month exports reached 262.4 billion USD, trade alone is estimated at 10.2 billion USD.
Total registered FDI capital for 7 months reached nearly 24.1 billion USD, realized FDI capital was about 13.6 billion USD, showing that Vietnam continues to be an attractive destination for foreign investors.
Local government at both levels has initially operated well, shifting the state from administrative management to creating, developing and serving people and businesses. Notably, industrial production has recovered rapidly, becoming an important driving force, leading to the overall growth of the economy.
People and businesses increase their confidence in the growth prospects of the economy, increase new investment, and expand production and business. The wave of startups increased strongly. The number of newly established and returning to operation enterprises and business households has increased to the highest level ever.
In the first 8 months of the year, the whole country is estimated to have nearly 128,200 enterprises, 73,855 newly established business households, and 80,800 enterprises returning to operation.
The Politburo issued 4 Resolutions (57, 68, 59, 66) to create a set of important pillars, creating a strong foundation and motivation to move our country forward in the new era, realizing the vision of Vietnam's development and high income by 2045.

Lieutenant General Tao Duc Thang - Chairman and General Director of Viettel - said that in the high-tech industry, Viettel's strategy is to research and develop dual-use products.
Along with weapons and equipment for the army, the unit has deployed spearhead product lines in the civil field, especially completely mastering the equipment in the 5G device ecosystem. Many of Viettel's high-tech products have been distributed and exported to foreign markets.
Currently, the unit is focusing on researching and developing National 9/11 strategic technology groups according to Decision No. 1131 of the Prime Minister.
In the field of trade and logistics, identifying logistics infrastructure as a "resolution of material flows", in recent times, the Group has promoted the application of the latest technologies to develop national logistics infrastructure, contributing to stronger connectivity of goods in Vietnam, in the region and in the world.
