The National Assembly Standing Committee issued Resolution No. 1104/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units in the 2023-2025 period of Nam Dinh province , officially taking effect from September 1, 2024.
According to Resolution No. 1104/NQ-UBTVQH15, the entire natural area of 9.55 km2, population of 7,226 people of Tan Khanh commune and the entire natural area of 9.34 km2, population of 10,566 people of Minh Thuan commune were merged into Minh Tan commune. After the merger, Minh Tan commune has a natural area of 25.84 km2 and a population of 23,257 people.
Merge the entire natural area of 4.27 km2, population of 5,385 people of Tan Thanh commune and the entire natural area of 10.39 km2, population of 10,421 people of Lien Bao commune into Thanh Loi commune. After merging, Thanh Loi commune has a natural area of 27.06 km2 and a population of 32,609 people.
According to Resolution No. 1104/NQ-UBTVQH15, after the arrangement, Vu Ban district has 14 commune-level administrative units, including 13 communes and 01 town (reduced by 4 communes).
According to a survey conducted by Lao Dong reporters on September 2, implementing the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee, many communes, wards and towns of Vu Ban district have organized meetings of the People's Councils of communes, wards and towns for the 2021-2026 term to complete the new government apparatus.
Accordingly, the People's Council of Thanh Loi commune (Vu Ban), term XV, 2021-2026, held the 16th session to complete the commune-level government apparatus according to Resolution No. 1104/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated July 23, 2024 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of district-level and commune-level administrative units for the period 2023-2025.
Pursuant to the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Thanh Loi commune will start operating from September 1, 2024 on the basis of merging the communes of Thanh Loi, Lien Bao and Tan Thanh.
At the meeting, with a spirit of solidarity, responsibility, democracy, frankness and high unity, the delegates of the People's Council of the commune voted to elect and vote for the positions: Chairman of the People's Council; 2 Vice Chairmen of the People's Council; Chairman of the People's Committee and 3 Vice Chairmen of the People's Committee of the commune for the 2021-2026 term, achieving a high rate of votes of confidence.
According to the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the new Minh Tan commune was established on the basis of merging the communes of Minh Tan, Tan Khanh, Minh Thuan (Vu Ban) and started operating from September 1, 2024.
To perfect the administrative apparatus of the commune-level administrative unit, the delegates of the People's Council of Minh Tan commune , term 21, term 2021-2026, elected the positions of People's Council and People's Committee of the commune.
The meeting elected the positions of Chairman of the People's Council and 3 Vice Chairmen of the People's Council; Chairman of the People's Committee and 6 Vice Chairmen of the People's Committee according to regulations. The election results showed that the positions were elected with a high rate of confidence.
