17 police officers ask for early retirement
At the ceremony, the Organization and Personnel Department of Binh Dinh Provincial Police announced the decision of the Minister of Public Security on the dissolution of the district-level Police.
The Director of Binh Dinh Provincial Police has handed over the decision to transfer 57 district-level police leaders to new positions, holding the positions of heads and deputy heads at professional units under the Provincial Police, from March 1, 2025.

Implementing the policy of streamlining the organizational apparatus, 17 leaders at the department level and district level police have voluntarily applied for early retirement. These are all officials who have grown up from the grassroots, with a lot of experience working in different fields.
Voluntary early retirement shows a sense of responsibility, exemplary behavior, and pioneering in implementing the policies of the Party, State, and sector.
At the ceremony, Colonel Vo Duc Nguyen - Director of Binh Dinh Provincial Police - congratulated 17 officers for completing their tasks excellently, receiving leave from work and receiving pension benefits according to regulations. At the same time, he also congratulated the 57 comrades who were transferred to new assignments.
"Comrades in their new positions need to quickly start performing their duties and tasks, continue to strive, and contribute to the entire Provincial Police force in performing well the task according to the 3-level police organization model, ensuring streamlining, compactness, strength, effectiveness, and efficiency...", Colonel Vo Duc Nguyen suggested.
At the ceremony, the Director of the Provincial Police Department presented the decision of the Minister of Public Security on promoting the rank of Colonel to Comrade Nguyen Chi Linh - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department, and appointed him to the position of Head of the Provincial Police Investigation Security Agency.
Reducing 9 district-level units, 70 team-level units
According to the decision of the Minister of Public Security, from March 1, 2025, Phu Yen Provincial Police will have only two levels: provincial and commune levels, no longer district-level police. After the arrangement process, the Provincial Police have streamlined 9 district-level units and 70 team-level units.

Phu Yen Provincial Police also announced and awarded decisions on mobilization and work arrangement to 44 officers who are leaders of departments and district levels to take up duties at professional departments under the Provincial Police.
At the same time, the decision to transfer 2 Deputy Chiefs of District Police was handed over to take up and hold the position of Chief of Commune-level Police.
At the ceremony, Colonel Phan Thanh Tam - Director of Phu Yen Provincial Police - affirmed that the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus, not organizing district-level police is a major and correct policy of the Politburo and the Central Party Committee of Public Security, stemming from the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
"For Phu Yen Police to operate effectively after no longer having district-level police, units under the Provincial Police and the Police of communes, wards and towns need to quickly stabilize their organization, change the status, be proactive and creative in work.
It is necessary to quickly access new functions, tasks and powers to effectively implement, without interruption of work, without leaving vacant assigned areas and fields," emphasized Colonel Phan Thanh Tam.
At the ceremony, the leaders of the Provincial Police also presented decisions on retirement and pension benefits to 16 leaders at the department and district levels.
These are leaders and commanders who have experienced many different areas of work, working with the unit to overcome all difficulties and complete all tasks well.
