The ceremony also announced the decisions of the Minister of Public Security and the Director of the City Police on promoting the ranks from Major to Lieutenant Colonel, Lieutenant Colonel to Senior Lieutenant Colonel and raising the rank of rank of Senior Lieutenant Colonel for 28 Leaders of the Room level and equivalent;
Increase the salary of Lieutenant Colonel to 18 Commune-level Police Chiefs; increase the rank from Lieutenant to Captain, from Captain to Major and from Major to Lieutenant Colonel to 23 Commune-level Police Chiefs.

Also last week, on June 5, in Hanoi, the Communications Department of the People's Public Security (CAND) held a ceremony to announce and hand over the decision to promote the rank and salary increase in 2025.
Major General Do Trieu Phong, Director of the CAND Communications Department chaired the ceremony.
In 2025, the People's Public Security Communications Department was granted a competent authority to decide to raise salaries and promote ranks for 75 people, including: 8 people under the authority of the Ministry and 67 individuals under the authority of the Department.
In addition, the Minister of Public Security has also signed a decision to promote 8 officers to salary increase and promotion to the rank under the authority of the Ministry in 2024.
