The entire natural area and population of Ho Nam ward and Du Hang ward are merged into Tran Nguyen Han ward. After the merger, Tran Nguyen Han ward has a natural area of 0.90 km2 and a population of 44,142 people.
The entire natural area and population of Trai Cau ward and Dong Hai ward are merged into Hang Kenh ward. After the merger, Hang Kenh ward has a natural area of 1.10 km2 and a population of 43,650 people.
Also according to the Resolution, the entire natural area and population of Niem Nghia Ward and Nghia Xa Ward will be merged into An Duong Ward. After the merger, An Duong Ward has a natural area of 1.31 km2 and a population of 47,966 people.
From January 1, 2025, Le Chan district will have 7 administrative units (7 wards); of which 3 wards will remain the same: Kenh Duong, Du Hang Kenh, Vinh Niem. Regarding administrative unit mergers and acquisitions alone, Le Chan district is one of the units with the highest merger and acquisition rate in the city (over 50%).
On December 24, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee announced the Decisions to establish new Party Committees after the merger, including: An Bien Ward Party Committee, An Duong Ward Party Committee, Hang Kenh Ward Party Committee, Tran Nguyen Han Ward Party Committee. At the same time, it appointed the Party Committee Executive Committee, the Party Committee Standing Committee, the positions of Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee for the 12th term, 2020 - 2025.

Agencies, units and organizations from the district to the grassroots level must be reorganized to ensure smooth, effective and efficient operations.
