On July 14, the People's Committee of Can Tho City held a conference to announce and hand over decisions on personnel work.
At the Conference, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City Nguyen Van Hoa presented the Decision of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City to appoint Mr. Le Cong Ly - former Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee (old) - to hold the position of Head of the Management Board of Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones, for a term of 5 years from the date of signing.
Appointing the Deputy Heads of the Committee include: Mr. Tran Ngoc Hung, former Head of the Management Board of Hau Giang Industrial Parks (old); Mr. Pham Duy Tin, former Head of the Management Board of Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Parks (old); Mr. Vo Quoc Hung, former Deputy Head of the Management Board of Can Tho Industrial and Export Processing Zones (old); Mr. Duong The Thanh, former Deputy Head of the Management Board of Can Tho Industrial and Export Processing Zones (old); Mr. Nguyen Chi Kien, former Deputy Head of the Management Board of Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Parks (old); Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh, former Deputy Head of the Management Board of Hau Giang Industrial Parks (old); Mr. Vu Doan, former Deputy Head of the Management Board of Quoc Giang Industrial Park (old); Mr. Nguyen Phu, former Head of the Management Board of Quoc Giang Industrial Park (old); Mr. Nguyen Chi Kien, former Head of the Management Board of Quoc Giang Industrial Park (old); Mr. Nguyen Quoc Truong, former Head of the Management Board of Quoc Giang Industrial Park (old).
Previously, on July 8, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed Decision No. 1496/QD-TTg to establish the Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones Management Board on the basis of merging the Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones Management Board, Hau Giang Industrial Parks Management Board and Soc Trang Industrial Parks Management Board.
The Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones Management Board is an agency under the People's Committee of Can Tho City, performing the function of direct state management of industrial parks and export processing zones in the city; manage and organize the implementation of the function of providing public administrative services and other support services related to investment, production and business activities for enterprises in export processing zones and industrial parks in the city according to the provisions of law.
The Management Board has legal status, a separate account, a stamp with the image of the National emblem and a working headquarters in Can Tho city; state administrative management funds, career operations funds and development investment capital issued by the state budget according to the annual plan and other funding sources according to regulations of competent state agencies.
