On June 10, the Trade Union of Export Processing and Industrial Zones (ECZs) of Can Tho held a conference to review trade union activities in the first 6 months of 2025.
Since the beginning of the year, the Trade Union of Can Tho Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks has focused on innovating propaganda work, actively applying information technology with nearly 200,000 union members and workers accessing information.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, Trade Unions at all levels presented 3,794 gifts, worth more than 1.7 billion VND to union members and workers in difficult circumstances at grassroots trade unions and the self-management group of workers' dormitories who did not return home for Tet.
During Workers' Month 2025, the Zone Trade Union organized a Discount Workers' Market and presented 200 gifts (including cash and necessities) to union members in difficulty, worth 200 million VND; awarded 35 scholarships (including cash, notebooks, milk) to union members' children who overcame difficulties to study well with a total amount of 22.6 million VND; organized cultural exchanges among union members and workers, attracting 10 participating units, etc.
The mobilization and contribution of the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund of Can Tho Trade Union was 16,268,000 VND. The unit also handed over and supported 2 Union Shelters in 2024 and 2025 to union members with housing difficulties, with a total value of 100 million VND.
The Trade Union of Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones has launched many patriotic emulation movements, achieving achievements to celebrate major holidays and important events of the Party and the country in 2025; Organizing a training conference on occupational safety and hygiene, the Law on Social Insurance for 124 union officials, officials in charge of safety work and a network of occupational safety and hygiene workers, officials in charge of wages.
Since the beginning of the year, the unit has mobilized the development of 2,711/7,500 union members, reaching 36% of the target; newly established the grassroots union of An Nam Food Company Limited, bringing the total number of affiliated grassroots unions to 62 units.
On this occasion, the Trade Union of Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones presented support to build a Trade Union Shelter worth 50 million VND for union members with housing difficulties and 11 scholarships for children of union members and workers who have overcome difficulties and studied well.
