On the morning of November 7, the 25th thematic session of the People's Council of Son La province, term XV, term 2021-2026, carried out the procedure to dismiss the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, due to being assigned other tasks by competent authorities; elected the position of Chairman of the Son La Provincial People's Committee for Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet - Deputy Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, with an absolute number of votes.
The meeting also carried out the procedure to dismiss Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Van, former Director of Son La Provincial Police, from the position of Provincial People's Committee Member due to his transfer from his superiors to another position; and elected Mr. Dang Trong Cuong, Director of Son La Provincial Police, as a Provincial People's Committee Member.
Previously, on November 5, the Standing Committee of the Son La Provincial Party Committee held a conference to implement Decision No. 1640-QDNS/TW, dated October 30, 2024 of the Central Party Secretariat on the transfer and appointment of Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet - Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, holding the position of Deputy Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet was born in 1977, in Yen My town, Yen My district, Hung Yen province; professional qualifications: Master of Commerce, Business Administration; advanced political theory level.
Before becoming Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet worked as an expert at the Management Board of Industrial Parks of Hung Yen province; an expert at the Economic Department, Office of the National Assembly; Head of Department, Secretary of the Chairman of the Economic Committee; Deputy Head of the Economic Department and then Head of the Economic Department, Office of the National Assembly.
