On the morning of August 20, at the Ho Chi Minh City Command Hall, the Party Committees of Ho Chi Minh City Party agencies held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025 - 2030 term, with the participation of 281 delegates.
At the congress, the Party Executive Committee consisting of 35 members and the Standing Committee of 11 members were officially launched.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - will be Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Agencies for the 2025 - 2030 term.
Deputy Secretaries of the Party Committees of Ho Chi Minh City Party Agencies include: Mr. Vo Van Minh - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council; Mr. Duong Anh Duc - Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Khoa Hai - Deputy Secretary (sponsorship) of the Party Committees of Ho Chi Minh City Party Agencies; Mr. Le Van Phong - Deputy Secretary (sponsorship) of the Party Committees of Ho Chi Minh City Party Agencies; Ms. Le Thi Hong Nga - Deputy Secretary (sponsorship) of the Party Committees of Ho Chi Minh City Party Agencies.
The Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Party Agencies consists of 10 members. Ms. Le Thi Hong Nga holds the position of Chairwoman of the Inspection Committee.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi was born in 1976, from Ca Mau province, has a PhD in construction science and engineering, and is a high-level political theory student.
During his working career, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi has held many important positions: Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, Deputy Minister of Construction, Deputy Secretary and then Secretary of Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee.
From April 2021 to January 2025, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi will hold the position of Minister of Construction.
At the end of January 2025, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi was transferred, assigned and appointed by the Politburo to hold the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
