In the afternoon of September 7, at the Provincial Party Committee Hall (My Tho ward), the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee held a Conference to announce the Decision of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee on personnel work. Mr. Ngo Chi Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Dong Thap province - chaired the conference.
The conference was attended by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee; representatives of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Central Party Agencies and leaders of the Department of Local Affairs III under the Central Organization Committee; representatives of the Standing Committee of An Giang Provincial Party Committee.
On the side of Dong Thap province, there were members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, members of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee and members of the Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee. The conference was connected online to bridge points in localities where the Party Committee Secretaries of communes and wards are members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Provincial Party Committee members.
The Conference announced the Secretariat's Decision on personnel work. Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan was transferred and appointed to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, holding the position of Deputy Secretary of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the term 2025-2030.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan was born on August 23, 1977, from Phuoc Hoa commune, Ho Chi Minh City; holds a PhD in Economics, Construction Engineer and Advanced Political Theory. From July 2026, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan holds the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Central Party Agencies. Previously, from July 2025 to July 2026, he held the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of An Giang province.
The fact that Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan was transferred and appointed to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, promptly supplementing key personnel for the province after Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee - was transferred and appointed by the Prime Minister to hold the position of Deputy Inspector General of the Government.
