On May 19, at the Provincial Party Committee Meeting Room, the Standing Committee of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee organized a meeting with the Provincial Delegation before attending the 14th National Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, term 2026 - 2031.
Mr. Phan Van Thang - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - chaired the meeting. Also attending were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee Office, the Provincial Labor Federation and members of the Delegation.

Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - Chairwoman of the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation - reported on the preparation situation of the Dong Thap Provincial Delegation. According to the decision of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Dong Thap Provincial Trade Union Delegation participating in the Congress includes 14 delegates. Among them, there are 5 female delegates and 9 male delegates.
In terms of structure, the Delegation has 1 natural delegate and 13 official delegates (including 2 delegates from non-business units, 6 delegates from production and business units and 5 full-time Trade Union officials). To ensure the quality of participation in the contents of the Congress, the Delegation has specifically assigned delegates to participate in discussions at 5 centers.

Dong Thap Provincial Trade Union is assigned to present papers at Workshop Center No. 02 with the theme: "Innovating and improving the quality of training and fostering, contributing to building a team of quality and professional trade union officials in the new era". The Congress is expected to take place from May 3 - June 6, 2026, in Hanoi.
Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Phan Van Thang acknowledged the preparation work of the Delegation; and at the same time requested delegates to strictly comply with the Congress regulations, fully participate in activities, proactively contribute practical opinions associated with grassroots practices, contributing to the overall success of the Congress. "The Delegation needs to prepare well the content of presentations, proactively propose key and practical issues associated with practice from the grassroots level.

Through this, it is expected that each delegate will highly promote the spirit of responsibility, actively contribute the voice of union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers of the province to the overall success of the Congress" - Mr. Thang emphasized.
On behalf of the delegation, Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - Chairwoman of the Provincial Labor Federation - thanked the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for their concern and affirmed that she would work with the delegation to successfully complete the assigned tasks. On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee presented gifts to encourage the delegation before leaving for the Congress.
