On the afternoon of October 3, the 17th Hue City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, elected the Party Executive Committee of 52 people.
Immediately after the first working session, the new Executive Committee held its first meeting, electing the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee. Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong - Chairman of Hue City People's Committee was elected to hold the position of Secretary of the City Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, born on December 29, 1970, hometown in Phong Son commune, Phong Dien district, Thua Thien Hue province, now Phong Thai ward, Hue city.
He has professional qualifications: Civil and Industrial Construction Engineer, Bachelor of Mathematics, Master of Economics; political theory qualification: Senior.
Mr. Phuong has held the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province since April 2016.
Previously, he held the positions of: Deputy Director of the Department of Transport, Chairman of the People's Committee of Huong Tra Town, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Thua Thien Hue Province.
In June 2021, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, now Hue city.
Also at the Conference of the 17th Hue City Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, three personnel were elected Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, including: Mr. Pham Duc Tien (Standing Deputy Secretary), Mr. Phan Thien Dinh (Standing Member, Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Hue City People's Council), and Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai (Standing Member, Vice Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee).
