Speaking at the 1st Vinh Long Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, Mr. Tran Van Lau - Secretary of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee - expressed his deep gratitude to the Politburo, the Secretariat and comrade Le Minh Tri - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court - for attending and giving an important speech at the Congress.
He emphasized that the comprehensive and in-depth instructions of comrade Le Minh Tri demonstrate the responsibility and special attention of the Politburo, the Secretariat, and comrade himself to the Party Committee and people of Vinh Long. This direction is a great source of encouragement, adding confidence and strength, creating a solid foundation for the province to develop.
On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee and the entire Congress, Mr. Lau pledged to seriously absorb and fully implement the instructions to add to the Congress Documents. He affirmed that he will concretize it into an action program and plan suitable to reality, implement it quickly, ensuring that the Congress Resolution comes into life and is most effective.
Mr. Tran Van Lau expressed his appreciation for the trust of the Politburo and the Secretariat when deciding to appoint him to the Provincial Party Executive Committee and assigned him to hold the position of Secretary of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee. He emphasized that this is both a great honor and a heavy responsibility assigned by the Party Committee and the people.
In his speech, Mr. Lau affirmed that he will maintain revolutionary qualities and ethics, make every effort to his capacity, intelligence and enthusiasm with the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to unite, unite, arouse development aspirations, comprehensively lead and direct to complete the goals, targets and resolutions of the Congress.
In addition, he emphasized the need to continue to adhere to the goal of national independence and socialism, be loyal to Marquis-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's ideology, and promote the work of building and rectifying the Party and the clean and strong political system. He pledged to improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization and Party members, and uphold the responsibility of setting an example for cadres, especially the leader.
Mr. Lau affirmed that he will promote democracy, strengthen internal solidarity, military-civilian solidarity, ethnic groups and religions, and mobilize all resources to build and develop the province. He also emphasized inheriting the results and leadership experience of previous courses, while innovating the leadership style in the direction of proactiveness, creativity, breakthrough, daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility.
In particular, Mr. Lau pledged to focus on implementing key tasks, strategic breakthroughs in the Congress Resolution such as developing transport infrastructure, marine economy, renewable energy, high-tech agriculture and tourism, gradually making Vinh Long an important economic center of the region. Mr. Tran Van Lau was born in 1970 in My Xuyen, Soc Trang province.
Professional qualifications: Master - Party building and State government; Bachelor - Political Science majoring in Social Management. Political theory qualification: Senior political theory.
Mr. Tran Van Lau was awarded the Medal of the Military Exploiters for the Year 2013; Medal of the Glorious Soldier of the First, Second, and Third Class.
