On March 30, the 1st session of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council, 13th term, 2026-2031, completed the election of the positions of Chairman, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Provincial People's Committee, consolidating the key leadership apparatus for the new term.
At the meeting, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term - was elected to hold the position of Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee of the XIII term, term 2026-2031.
Speaking to receive the assignment, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan said that this is both an honor and a heavy responsibility to the Party Committee, government and people in the province.
According to Mr. Anh Tuan, the results of confidence are not only recognition but also set the requirement to make more efforts, creating clear changes in leadership, direction and administration.
In the context that the whole country is striving to break through, towards the goal of double-digit growth, the requirements set for Gia Lai are very large, requiring the province to strongly innovate in thinking, working methods and improve the efficiency of organization and implementation.
Mr. Pham Anh Tuan said that after a period of operating the new apparatus, Gia Lai province has initially stabilized, forming a large development space with many new potentials and opportunities. On that basis, the province still maintains its growth momentum in 2025.
In the coming time, Gia Lai will focus on implementing key tasks, especially focusing all efforts on the goal of double-digit growth; establishing a system of KPI evaluation indicators, quantifying them by day, by locality and by individual; promoting administrative reform, improving the quality of the business investment environment, shortening the time to resolve procedures; developing synchronous transport and logistics infrastructure; building a team of cadres who dare to think and dare to do for the common good...
Mr. Pham Anh Tuan emphasized that Gia Lai is facing a breakthrough and development opportunity. Therefore, it is important to turn potential into resources, turn advantages into motivation, and turn goals into specific results.
