On the afternoon of February 12, the People's Council of Hau Giang province, term X, 2021-2026, held the 24th session (special session) to carry out personnel organization work under its authority.
At this session, the People's Council dismissed Mr. Dong Van Thanh - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province from the position of Chairman of the People's Council of Hau Giang province; dismissed Mr. Tran Van Huyen - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Hau Giang province from the position of Chairman of the People's Council of Hau Giang province.
In addition, the meeting also dismissed Ms. Nguyen Hoai Thuy Hang - former Director of Hau Giang Department of Education and Training (retired) from the position of Member of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee; dismissed Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen from the position of Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee.
Previously, on February 10, Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen - Permanent Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee - was assigned by the Central Party Secretariat to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee.
The meeting introduced personnel and elected the positions of Chairman of the People's Council, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
Mr. Dong Van Thanh - Secretary of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee - was elected to hold the position of Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Council; Mr. Tran Van Huyen - Standing Deputy Secretary of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee - was elected to hold the position of Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Tran Chi Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of Long My District Party Committee - was elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Van Huyen thanked the provincial People's Council delegates for their trust and confidence in electing him as Chairman of the Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee.
According to Mr. Huyen, this is his great honor and responsibility for the development requirements of the locality in the new era, the era of the country and people's rise.
Mr. Tran Van Huyen said that with his new role and mission, he will lead the Provincial People's Committee to focus on key tasks: maintaining economic growth rate and high budget collection; promoting democracy and innovation in leadership and management; uniting and completing tasks and goals set by the Provincial Party Congress resolution, completing the "double-digit" growth target, promoting sustainable development, and improving people's lives.
Mr. Tran Van Huyen promised to devote himself and hoped to continue receiving support and contributions from functional sectors and people to complete assigned tasks, contributing to the development of the locality in the new era.
Mr. Dong Van Thanh (56 years old, hometown Can Tho city) has a bachelor's degree in sociology.
Mr. Tran Van Huyen (54 years old, from Ninh Binh province) has a professional degree in law and a master's degree in cultural studies.
Mr. Tran Chi Hung (51 years old, hometown Hau Giang province) has a professional qualification as a hydraulic engineer.
