The two sides affirmed the will of the two countries to upgrade bilateral relations to a new level.

In that spirit, the two leaders agreed to continue to focus on promoting cooperation in areas of both sides' strengths and interests such as economics - trade - investment, including opening each other's markets for agricultural products, national defense - security, agriculture, telecommunications, digital transformation, energy, education - training, cooperation and exchange of experiences in poverty reduction, climate change response, culture, tourism, people-to-people exchange; actively negotiate and sign bilateral cooperation documents to perfect the legal framework for sustainable development of bilateral relations.

The two leaders agreed to create favorable conditions for the business communities of the two countries to increase exchanges and business cooperation to increase bilateral trade turnover commensurate with the potential of the two countries.

The President of Peru expressed his wish that Vietnam would soon open a diplomatic representative office in Lima, Peru.
