At the program, delegates reviewed the history of building and developing the Vietnamese revolutionary health sector and 70 years of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's teachings "Doctors must be like good mothers".
Over the past 70 years, implementing Uncle Ho's teachings, the staff and employees of the health sector have strived to develop, nurture and build the sector to develop more and more.
At the ceremony, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan awarded the Third Class Labor Medal to the Excellent Doctor, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Hong Thai - former Deputy Director of Thai Nguyen Central Hospital. Awarded the title of Excellent Doctor to 16 individuals with outstanding achievements in the cause of protecting and caring for people's health. Many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements have also been awarded certificates of merit by the Ministry of Health.
On this occasion, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan visited and presented gifts to a number of patients being treated at Thai Nguyen Central Hospital.
After 74 years of establishment and development, Thai Nguyen Central Hospital has become a specialized Medical Center, the final destination in the midland and mountainous areas of the North.
On average, the Hospital examines and treats 1,500 - 2,000 outpatients and 1,700 inpatients per day. The inpatient treatment rate increased from 105 -118%, with 200,000 health check-ups per year.
