On the afternoon of July 26, on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan led a delegation of central deputies to offer flowers and incense at the Truong Bon National Historical Relic Site, Bach Ha commune, Nghe An province.
Attending were Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Society, Chairman of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association; Mr. Bui Quang Huy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Youth Union; Mr. Nguyen Khac Than - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province.

In the solemn and emotional atmosphere of the July days of gratitude, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and the working delegation respectfully offered flowers and incense at the collective grave of 13 heroic youth volunteer martyrs of Company 317, Team 25, General Team of Youth Volunteers against the US for National Salvation of Nghe An province and the Memorial House of 1,240 heroic martyrs.
Truong Bon is located on strategic route 15A, once a fierce "fire coordinate" in the anti-American resistance war for national salvation. Here, many cadres, soldiers, soldiers, youth volunteers, traffic workers and local people sacrificed to maintain the vital traffic route to support the southern battlefield.
In particular, in the early morning of October 31, 1968, 13 youth volunteers of Company 317 heroically sacrificed themselves, just hours before the US stopped bombing the North.

Before the spirits of the heroic martyrs, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and delegates observed a minute of silence, expressing deep gratitude to the outstanding children who dedicated their youth and blood to the cause of national liberation and reunification.
Meeting and giving gifts to encourage the Management Board of Truong Bon National Historical Relic Site, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan affirmed that caring for policy families, people with meritorious services and preserving and promoting the value of historical relics is a regular and continuous political responsibility of Party committees and authorities at all levels.
The gratitude activity expresses the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source", and at the same time affirms that the sacrifices and contributions of previous generations for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland are always cherished and remembered by the Party, State and people.

Previously, at the Kim Lien Special National Relic Site, Kim Lien commune, the delegation offered incense and flowers to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh, expressing deep gratitude for his great contributions.
On the same day, the working delegation visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Ho Thi Tu, born in 1928, residing in Dai Hue commune. Mother has 11 children, of which 5 participated in the army; two sons are martyrs Luu Phi Huong and Luu Phi Vinh who sacrificed in the resistance war against the US for national salvation.
