On the afternoon of July 16, at the Presidential Office Headquarters, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan met with the delegation of children participating in "Journey I Love Vietnam Fatherland" in 2026, on the occasion of their visit to Hanoi Capital, according to VNA.
Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan expressed her joy and emotion when meeting with exemplary children of Ho Chi Minh City and emphasized that during his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh always had immense love for teenagers and children.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders and General Secretary, President To Lam, the Vice President praised the achievements that Ho Chi Minh City children have achieved in the past time; sent congratulations to 75 outstanding children participating in the "Journey I Love Vietnam Fatherland" Program, which has contributed to spreading meaningful movements of the Team.
Overviewing the domestic situation, the Vice President emphasized that today's generation of children will be the force directly building and developing the country, realizing the goal of making Vietnam a developed country with high income by 2045.
They are also the ones who continue to nurture and create new aspirations to lead the country to develop in the next stage. Therefore, each child needs to clearly recognize their role and responsibility, constantly nurture ambitions, be determined to study and train right from when they are still in school, contributing to realizing the great aspirations of the nation.
Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan wished that the young generation would continue to nurture gratitude and appreciation for the previous generation, heroic martyrs, people with meritorious services to the revolution, and cherish the concern and care of the Party, State, family and the whole society.
Following the example of generations of Vietnamese children through many periods, they soon defined ideals, ambitions and aspirations to contribute, starting from small actions to aim for big goals, contributing to building their homeland and country to become increasingly rich and strong.
Regarding children in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vice President said that they should continue to study well, train well, especially have the right and self-awareness of learning; have appropriate learning methods, practice, and maximize their personal abilities to become high-quality human resources, contributing to the development of the City and the country.
In the context of the country transforming its growth model based on science, technology, innovation and digital transformation, the requirement for high-quality human resources is increasingly urgent, students need to soon orient their careers to suit the capacity and development needs of the country; actively pay attention to and learn about science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and STEAM - supplementing the artistic element, in order to develop people comprehensively and promote cultural values in the era of science and technology.
Along with learning, children continue to focus on personality training, building moral qualities, good lifestyles from a young age; and at the same time proactively learn and practice Vietnamese human values standards.
Along with that, they regularly exercise physically, improve endurance and fitness to meet the requirements of high-quality human resources, ready to integrate and become global citizens in the future.
