On the morning of May 27, Comrade Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Vice President, Chairman of the Sponsorship Council of the Vietnam Children's Fund visited and presented gifts to children at the Quang Ninh Provincial Social Assistance Center (facility 2) in Ha Long ward.
Accompanying him were Comrade Le Thi Thuy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam Women's Union; Comrade Quan Minh Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies of Quang Ninh province; representatives of leaders of a number of ministries, departments, central agencies and leaders of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee.
Quang Ninh Provincial Social Assistance Center currently has 3 facilities, taking care of and nurturing 82 children and minors in particularly difficult and difficult circumstances.
Facility 2 alone is caring for and nurturing 75 orphans and children in particularly difficult circumstances.
In the 2025-2026 school year, there are 66 students studying at general schools, vocational colleges, universities inside and outside the province; many students achieved good results in their studies.
At the meeting, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan visited and encouraged the children; wished them a joyful Children's Day June 1st, a safe and useful summer vacation and continued to be obedient and study well.
The Vice President wished the children to continue to strive to study, train, nurture dreams, and the will to rise up to become good citizens, useful to society. She requested levels, sectors, organizations, and individuals to continue to pay attention to and take better care of children in particularly difficult circumstances; and at the same time hoped that the staff of the Center would continue to promote the spirit of responsibility, dedication, and create a safe and warm living environment for them to study, train, and grow up.
