Mr. Nguyen Van Nen becomes the new Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee
According to the Politburo's Decision, the new Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Executive Committee consists of 107 people (specifically 36 members of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, 32 members of the Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee and 39 members of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Executive Committee).
The Politburo also appointed the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term, consisting of 27 people (11 members of the Standing Committee of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee, 7 members of the Standing Committee of the Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee and 9 members of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee).
The Politburo also appointed Mr. Nguyen Van Nen - Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee (old) to hold the position of Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City (new) for the 2020 - 2025 term.

Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee (old) became Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee to appoint him to hold the position of Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for the new term 2021 - 2026.
