On April 1, within the framework of a working trip to Quang Tri province, Comrade Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the National Steering Committee for searching, repatriating and identifying martyrs' remains, came to pay respects and offer incense to commemorate heroic martyrs. Accompanying him were representatives of ministries, branches and leaders of Quang Tri province.
The delegation came to offer flowers and incense at the National Historical Relic commemorating 16 Youth Volunteers, Long Dai Ferry Terminal II, Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery and Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery.

In a solemn atmosphere, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra and the working delegation respectfully offered incense and flowers and observed a minute of silence to express their boundless gratitude to 16 Youth Volunteer martyrs, who sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and reunification.
Long Dai ferry wharf is the place where soldiers sacrificed, known as an important traffic hub in the anti-American resistance war. On September 19, 1972, a bomb attack by US aircraft took the lives of 15 soldiers of unit C130, and 4 days later, soldier Tran Manh Ha heroically sacrificed. 16 soldiers of unit C130 who sacrificed by the Long Dai River became a bright symbol of revolutionary heroism.

The working delegation continued to visit Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery, the resting place of more than 10,000 heroic martyrs, and Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery, the burial place of more than 10,000 martyrs.
In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation came to offer incense at the statue of Heroic Martyr Le Thi Tuyet (martyr Le Thi Tuyet was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the Party and the State) in Vinh Dinh commune.
In a solemn moment, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra and central and local leaders observed a minute of silence, remembering the great contributions of generations of fathers who sacrificed for national independence and the happiness of the people.
