The Permanent Deputy Mayor of Shenzhen City was pleased to share that Vietnam is Shenzhen's largest trading partner in ASEAN and expressed his desire to further enhance exchanges and substantive cooperation between local governments, businesses and organizations of the two countries for the common good, contributing positively to the Vietnam - China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, especially in four areas including high-quality development, industry, trade - investment and tourism.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the Party, Government and people of Vietnam consistently consider the consolidation and development of friendly and cooperative relations with China as a consistent policy, an objective requirement, a strategic choice and a top priority in Vietnam's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his agreement with the priorities and proposals of Shenzhen city, and at the same time suggested that the city continue to promote cooperation and exchange experiences on the development of the private economic sector, ways to strengthen linkages between economic regions, the role of the state and the market, specific policies for free trade zones and special economic zones.
