On August 22, the Tan Binh Ward Party Committee held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term. The congress was attended by Ms. Truong My Hoa - former Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and 215 delegates representing more than 2,800 Party members in the whole ward.
Speaking at the Congress, Tan Binh Ward Party Secretary Nguyen Hoang Long said that in the past term, the Party Committee and people of the ward have made efforts to overcome difficulties and achieved many comprehensive achievements. In particular, the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" movement has been effectively promoted and spread widely throughout the area.
The ward has mobilized people to actively participate in key projects of the city, such as Metro Line 2 and projects to expand Hoang Hoa Tham Street and Tran Quoc Hoan Street around the area of Terminal T3 - Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
In the 2025-2030 term, Tan Binh ward set out 22 important targets. The ward aims to collect 100% of state budget revenue compared to the estimate, with an average growth of 8% per year. The rate of on-duty administrative records settlement strives to reach 98% in all fields.
In addition, the ward will focus on improving state management capacity, promoting administrative reform and digital transformation, towards implementing the Project "Smart city, Smart neighborhood".
In his speech, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, said that since starting to operate according to the two-level local government model, the Party Committee and the Tan Binh Ward government have quickly stabilized their organization, ensuring that all activities serving people and businesses are smooth.
In the current period, Mr. Cuong suggested that Tan Binh ward should focus on directing the effective operation of the two-level local government model close to the people, close to the people, and serving the people better and better. Proactively train, improve professional skills and service attitude of cadres. Planning leadership personnel with qualities, capacity, prestige, daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility for the common good.
"The ward needs to continue to promote administrative reform, apply information technology and digital transformation strongly. Promote the strategic location advantage near Tan Son Nhat airport to develop economic, trade and service activities, Mr. Cuong suggested.
To effectively carry out this task, Mr. Cuong requested the ward to urgently review the planning of the old wards and the general development orientation of the city.
The Congress also announced the decision of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee on the completion of the Tan Binh Ward Party Committee Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term. Comrade Nguyen Hoang Long was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Ward Party Committee, along with 2 Deputy Secretaries, Comrade Tran Sinh Hung and Comrade Nguyen Thi Phuong.
