On the side of Hanoi City, there were Politburo member, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation Bui Thi Minh Hoai, along with city leaders, representatives of agencies, units and families of patriotic noble house Trinh Van Bo - Hoang Thi Minh Ho.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Bach Lien Huong - Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports - said that house No. 48 Hang Ngang, where President Ho Chi Minh wrote the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945 giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam), has been ranked as a national historical - cultural relic since 1979.
As a "red address" in the heart of the Capital, this place not only marks important events of the nation, but also becomes a symbol of revolutionary intelligence, strategic vision, patriotism, independence and the aspiration for peace of the Vietnamese people.
During the boiling days of the August Revolution in 1945, the house was the workplace of the Central Party Committee and President Ho Chi Minh.
Here, he and the Standing Committee decided on many important policies on internal affairs, foreign affairs, institutions, and components of the Provisional Government and the organization of the Independence Day. It was in the small room on the second floor that President Ho Chi Minh wrote the Declaration of Independence giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
With its stature and contemporary ideology, the Declaration of Independence is not only a crystallization of the thousand-year-old values of the Vietnamese people, affirming the aspiration for "independence - freedom - happiness", but also contains the universal values of humanity on human rights and national self-determination.
According to Ms. Huong, the historical space at the relic is vividly recreated through exhibition exhibitions, the application of modern technology such as mapping, VR virtual reality, holograms... with both document depth and educational value of heritage.
This is the result of a serious conservation - research - creation process, demonstrating Hanoi City's commitment to innovating approaches, raising the level of cultural heritage promotion in the context of digital transformation, she emphasized.
The exhibition space is designed with three main themes: the house at 48 Hang Ngang and the patriotic noble family of Trinh Van Bo - Hoang Thi Minh Ho; historical context and the need to produce the Declaration of Independence; the meaning of the Declaration of Independence and the journey to protect national independence.
In particular, to commemorate and express gratitude for President Ho Chi Minh's great contributions, the relic has arranged a worship room for Uncle Ho in traditional style, deeply engraved in the great historical role of the Father in the struggle for national independence.
In the journey to preserve national memories and spread the value of heritage, today's activities are not only to show gratitude for the past, but also to pass on memories and inspire the younger generation - those who will continue the journey to preserve and develop an independent, self-reliant and prosperous Vietnam, Ms. Huong emphasized.
