On November 27, at Gia Lam Airport (Hanoi), Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien - Deputy Minister of National Defense - inspected the training and encouraged the forces participating in the opening ceremony of the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024.
Over the past month, more than 1,600 officers and soldiers, including 1,040 special forces soldiers, 210 political officers, 198 professional actors, 40 military musicians, many singers inside and outside the army, and border guard dogs, have been urgently practicing to prepare for the important event taking place next December.
The opening ceremony is expected to last about 1 hour, including 30 minutes for the art program and 30 minutes for the main ceremony.
The art program at the opening of the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 was elaborately staged, demonstrating the cultural identity of the country and people of Vietnam, the heroic tradition of the Vietnam People's Army with the theme "Peace, cooperation, and mutual development".
Along with these performances are performances by the Air Force and displays of weapons and equipment produced by the Vietnam Defense Industry and weapons and equipment products from countries around the world converging at the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024.
Nearly 200 domestic and foreign units and enterprises from 27 countries such as the US, Russia, UK, France... registered to display booths, introducing combat vehicles, technological solutions, weapons, and equipment used by defense forces.
The opening ceremony of the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 will take place on the morning of December 19, with the participation of Party and State leaders and international guests.
The exhibition will take place for 4 days (from December 19 to 22) at Gia Lam Airport. In addition to general activities, the organizers will reserve a long time for people to visit the exhibition.
