1,885 Quang Nam officials transferred to Da Nang to work
On the eve of the merger of provincial-level administrative units between Quang Nam and Da Nang City, the Department of Home Affairs of Quang Nam province has proposed a spending policy to support thousands of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers (CBCCVCNLD) who will change their workplaces - to ensure social security, stabilize their ideology and encourage workers to work with peace of mind during the major transformation period.
According to statistics from the Quang Nam Department of Home Affairs, a total of 1,885 people working in Quang Nam provincial agencies (excluding the Party, mass organizations, and Front) are expected to work at the Administrative Center of the new provincial-level administrative unit in Da Nang City after the reorganization.

Including 1,110 cadres, civil servants, 591 public employees (excluding education and health sector officials) and 184 contract workers working at departments, branches and public service units.
In addition, implementing Decree 178/2024/ND-CP, the province also plans to send 136 provincial-level cadres, civil servants and public employees to work at commune-level administrative units, equivalent to 5% of the total payroll.
Priority support for housing, living and travel is nearly 283 billion VND
Based on local practices and reference models from provinces such as Dong Thap, the Department of Home Affairs of Quang Nam proposed 2 support options.
In which, Option 2 was chosen as the official option, including: Monthly support for travel and rental expenses at the rate of 5 million VND/person/month. Support period for 2 consecutive years; one-time support for living expenses of 30 million VND/person, helping to equip essential items when moving residence.
The total estimated budget for the group of 1,885 people is 282.75 billion VND, of which more than 56 billion VND is for one-time support and 226 billion VND is for monthly support.

In addition, for 136 provincial-level civil servants mobilized to the commune level (with a distance from the old place to the new workplace of 30km or more), each person will be supported with 1.5 million VND/month, lasting 2 years, with a total cost of more than 4.8 billion VND.
The Department of Home Affairs affirmed that the support policy not only aims to partially compensate for increased living expenses but also demonstrates the concern and responsibility of the government in the process of restructuring the apparatus. Ensuring the legitimate rights of the staff and employees is expected to help stabilize personnel and maintain the quality of operations of state agencies during the major transformation period.
The policy proposal has been sent to the Department of Finance for coordination in appraisal and submission to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision in the coming time.
