From the Provincial Party Committee headquarters to the ward administrative center
Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung has just chaired a meeting on the plan to arrange and handle public housing and land facilities in the province.
According to the province's report, after implementing the merger of administrative units, Quang Nam is facing a "big problem" of handling nearly 2,630 public housing and land headquarters, of which more than 230 facilities are determined to no longer have a need to be used.

One of the notable contents in the conclusion at the meeting of the Chairman of Quang Nam People's Committee, which is the current headquarters of the Provincial Party Committee will be arranged as a workplace for Ban Thach Ward - one of four new administrative units will form, after dissolving Tam Ky city.
This is a step to effectively use public assets, both taking advantage of existing works, avoiding waste and ensuring long-term stable operations for the new central ward government apparatus of Tam Ky City.

The leaders of Quang Nam province affirmed that the arrangement must adhere to the spirit of "no waste, no investment spread out". Accordingly, new headquarters can only be built in cases of real necessity, while the rest prioritize the option of taking advantage of, exchanging or upgrading existing headquarters.
The Party agencies will focus on working at the headquarters of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; the Front agencies and organizations will remain at the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; provincial departments, branches and sectors will focus on the headquarters of the Provincial People's Committee in Tam Ky.
Some specialized units such as Quang Nam Newspaper, Radio and Television Station and the Provincial Political School still maintain the current working location.
Scientific arrangement - promoting regional development
Quang Nam also plans to convert the function of redundant headquarters into workplaces for police, commune military, health stations, schools or community cultural institutions. At the same time, some public real estate will be transferred to units with housing business functions, following the model that has been effectively applied by Da Nang City.

The People's Committee of Tam Ky City is assigned to carefully research the location of headquarters for new wards such as Quang Phu and Huong Tra, with the spirit of "utility for the people - saving for the budget". At the same time, the education sector also coordinated to survey and expand a number of schools in areas with surplus public land.
The reasonable allocation of headquarters not only serves administrative reform, but also contributes to activating the potential for trade and service development in the southern area of Quang Nam, after merging with Da Nang City - which is being oriented to become a new driving force.
From the current 233 commune-level administrative units, after the merger, Quang Nam will have 78 communes/wards. This is a turning point change, requiring the province to flexibly and reasonably handle the huge public asset block.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung requested the police and military forces to quickly survey and report on the plan to arrange working headquarters in accordance with the new organizational model. All stages of the arrangement need to ensure the principle of "correct law - correct needs - correct goals", taking people as the center of service.
