On the morning of February 18, the National Assembly held a plenary session in the hall to vote to pass the Law on Government Organization (amended).
Previously, Chairman of the National Assembly's Law Committee Hoang Thanh Tung presented to the National Assembly a Summary Report on explanation, acceptance, and revision of the draft Law on Government Organization (amended).
According to Mr. Tung, in the discussion sessions, there were 121 opinions expressed by National Assembly deputies (including 104 opinions expressed in the Group and 15 opinions expressed in the Hall, 2 opinions in writing), the atmosphere of discussion was enthusiastic and responsible; 1 National Assembly delegation sent a document to give comments.
Immediately after the meeting, the National Assembly Standing Committee (NASC) directed the synthesis, explanation, acceptance and revision of the draft Law according to the opinions of National Assembly deputies (NADs).
Many contents have been adopted and revised by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly in the draft Law on Government Organization (amended) such as the following contents: Regarding ensuring the consistency of the draft Law with the legal system; Regarding the principles of organization and operation of the Government (Article 5); Principles for determining authority (Article 6); Regarding decentralization, delegation, delegation of authority (Articles 7, 8 and 9); Regarding the tasks, powers, and responsibilities of the Government, Prime Ministers, Ministers, and Heads of ministerial-level agencies; Regarding transitional provisions (Article 8: 32 and on a number of other issues.
In addition to the above contents, taking into account the opinions of National Assembly deputies and the Government's proposals in Document No. 105/CP-TCCV dated February 17, 2025, the National Assembly Standing Committee has directed the Agency in charge of the review to coordinate with the drafting Agency and relevant agencies and organizations to review, accept, revise and complete the draft Law on both the content and technical aspects of the document.
This Law takes effect from March 1, 2025.
