On September 9, in Hanoi, the National Assembly Party Committee coordinated with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to organize a national scientific conference with the theme: "Vietnam National Assembly - 80 years of formation and development".
Speaking at the workshop, Politburo member and Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu said that since its inception, the National Assembly has made great contributions to the cause of protecting and firmly consolidating the independence, building and perfecting the country.
During its activities from term I to term XV, the National Assembly issued 5 constitutations (including constitutations 1946, 29, 1980, 1992 and the 2013 constitutation) and issued 567 laws and thousands of resolutions. The National Assembly Standing Committee issued 236 Orders.
Legislative activities have basically fully covered different areas of the socio-economy.

Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu added that the cause of innovation, industrialization, modernization, construction and protection of the country in the new period is posing a very high requirement for the entire Party, the entire people and the entire political system, including the great role and responsibility of the National Assembly and National Assembly deputies.
