On the afternoon of September 11, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said it had contacted and received commitments from international organizations to provide emergency relief to people affected by storm No. 3 (Yagi).
Accordingly, the goods donated by Centre AHA include: 2,002 household kits (including: plastic buckets, water bags, towels, T-shirts, mosquito nets, FM radio candles);
1,008 home repair tool sets (including: Rope, hand saw, metal nails, shovel, pick, scissors, corner nails, tie, hammer);
1,015 kitchen utensils (including: Pots, bowls, plates, knives, spoons, forks, cups, wooden ladles);
3,031 personal hygiene kits (including: laundry detergent, sanitary napkins, handkerchiefs, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo).
The aid is expected to arrive at Noi Bai International Airport between September 13-14, 2024.
The Ministry also received aid goods from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) including:
40 portable water purifiers (Pump filter, ceramic filter core; Filtration speed 4 liters/minute, maximum filtration capacity 100,000 liters);
200 multi-purpose plastic tarpaulins (Material: HDPE plastic Size: 50x4m): 200 sheets
The aid is expected to arrive at Noi Bai International Airport between September 16-17, 2024.
The Australian Government also provided 264 personal hygiene kits, 120 kitchen kits, 600 blankets, 264 home repair kits; 600 sleeping mats, 522 tarpaulins, and 360 mosquito nets. The aid is expected to arrive at Noi Bai International Airport by Australian military aircraft at 6:20 p.m. on September 11, 2024.
