On August 16, the 1st Congress of the Hanoi People's Committee Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, officially opened.
With the motto "Solidarity, democracy, discipline, innovation, creativity", the Party Committee of the Hanoi People's Committee is determined to improve the leadership capacity of the Party, promote the leading role, be exemplary, build a streamlined, strong, effective, efficient and effective government for the Capital to be civilized, civilized, modern, and the People to be happy.
Speaking at the Congress, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong said that the achievements of the Hanoi People's Committee Party Committee have contributed significantly to the cause of building and developing the capital as well as building a clean, strong and exemplary city Party Committee.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phong suggested that the Party Committee of the Hanoi People's Committee focus on organizing the implementation of a number of important tasks in the 2025-2030 term.
Firstly, the Party Committee of the City People's Committee needs to continue to affirm its role as the political core, the center of solidarity, intelligence, creativity, and pioneering in innovating leadership methods; daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility, taking the lead in performing key tasks, building an honest, serving, creating and acting government.
Second, it is necessary to focus on promoting comprehensive digital transformation to realize as soon as possible the goal of building a digital society, digital government and digital citizens of the capital.
In particular, taking the lead in innovating and improving propaganda work for cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the Party Committee about the responsibility and aspiration to rise up in order to realize and concretize the pioneering role of the City People's Committee Party Committee, contributing with the Capital Party Committee to pioneer in the new era of the nation.
Third, in the draft of the 18th City Party Committee's Political Report, the goal by 2030 and orientation by 2045 is to build Hanoi into a "Cultured - Civilized - Modern - Happy People" city, with an average GDP per capita by 2030 reaching about 12,000-13,000 USD. While currently, it is expected to reach about 7,200 USD by the end of 2025.
"This is a huge challenge, but we are completely confident that if we strive, try, be determined, have appropriate and smart solutions, we can definitely achieve this great goal" - Mr. Phong said.
The first Congress of the Hanoi People's Committee Party Committee announced the Decision of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee appointing the Executive Committee of the Hanoi People's Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 30 comrades.
