Arrangement of 11 press agencies when merging the Ministry of Finance

Eleven press agencies under the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Planning and Investment and Vietnam Social Security will be reorganized into 1 newspaper and 1 magazine.

According to Conclusion No. 121-KL/TW on summarizing Resolution 18 on continuing to innovate and reorganize the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently, the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Ministry of Finance merged into the Ministry of Finance.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Finance (after the merger) basically inherits the functions and tasks currently assigned to the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Ministry of Finance and receives the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Vietnam Social Security; the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the owner's representative for 18 state-owned corporations and groups currently assigned to the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises.

Recently, the Ministry of Finance sent a document to the Ministry of Planning and Investment regarding coordination in developing functions, tasks, powers and organizational structures of units under the Ministry of Finance (after merger).

According to the appendix on the assignment of the construction of the Merger Project; regulations on functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of units under the Ministry of Finance (after the merger) include the arrangement of public service units in the organizational structure.

In particular, the Institute of Financial Strategy and Policy (Ministry of Finance), the Customs Research Institute (General Department of Customs), the Institute of Development Strategy (Ministry of Planning and Investment), the Institute of Statistical Science (General Statistics Office), the Institute of Social Insurance Science (Vietnam Social Security) will be merged into the Institute of Economic and Financial Strategy and Policy.

For the press agencies under these two ministries, Vietnam Financial Times (Ministry of Finance), Investment Newspaper (Ministry of Finance) and Bidding Newspaper (Bidding Management Department, Ministry of Planning and Investment) will be merged into Finance - Investment Newspaper.

Along with that, 8 newspapers and magazines of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Planning and Investment, and Vietnam Social Security will be merged into the Economic - Financial Magazine.

There are 5 press agencies and magazines under the Ministry of Finance: Finance Magazine, Customs Newspaper (General Department of Customs), Tax Magazine (General Department of Taxation), Securities Magazine (State Securities Commission), National Treasury Management Magazine (State Treasury).

The two magazines under the Ministry of Planning and Investment are: Economics and Forecast Magazine (Institute of Development Strategy), Numbers and Events Magazine (General Statistics Office).

1 Magazine of Vietnam Social Security is Social Security Magazine.

For the School of Financial Staff Training (Ministry of Finance), School of Taxation (General Department of Taxation, Ministry of Finance), Vietnam Customs School (General Department of Customs, Ministry of Finance) and Academy of Policy and Development (Ministry of Planning and Investment), School of Social Insurance Training (Vietnam Social Security) will be merged into the Academy of Policy and Development.
