The National Assembly Standing Committee has just issued Resolution No. 1242/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Quang Binh province for the 2023-2025 period.

Accordingly, the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Minh Hoa district is as follows:

Establish Tan Thanh commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area of ​​30.29 km2, population of 714 people of Hoa Phuc commune, the entire natural area of ​​26.32 km2, population of 3,169 people of Hoa Tien commune and the entire natural area of ​​33.16 km2, population of 1,571 people of Hoa Thanh commune.

After its establishment, Tan Thanh commune had a natural area of ​​89.77 km2 and a population of 5,454 people.

After the arrangement, Minh Hoa district has 13 commune-level administrative units, including 12 communes and 1 town.

Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Bo Trach district as follows: Establish Ha My commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area of ​​18.40 km2, population of 5,372 people of Ha Trach commune and the entire natural area of ​​9.28 km2, population of 3,615 people of My Trach commune.

After its establishment, Ha My commune had a natural area of ​​27.68 km2 and a population of 8,987 people.

Establish Ly Nam commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area of ​​19.25 km2, population of 3,827 of Nam Trach commune and the entire natural area of ​​22.22 km2, population of 5,380 of Ly Trach commune.

After its establishment, Ly Nam commune had a natural area of ​​41.47 km2 and a population of 9,207 people.

After the arrangement, Bo Trach district has 26 commune-level administrative units, including 23 communes and 3 towns.

Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Quang Trach district as follows: Establish Phu Canh commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area of ​​3.65 km2, population of 4,281 people of Phu Hoa commune and the entire natural area of ​​7.74 km2, population of 5,001 people of Canh Hoa commune.

After its establishment, Phu Canh commune had a natural area of ​​11.39 km2 and a population of 9,282 people.

After the arrangement, Quang Trach district has 16 communes.

Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Quang Ninh district as follows: Merge the entire natural area of ​​5.38 km2 and population of 5,023 people of Luong Ninh commune into Quan Hau town. After merging, Quan Hau town has a natural area of ​​8.68 km2 and a population of 10,728 people.

After the arrangement, Quang Ninh district has 14 commune-level administrative units, including 13 communes and 1 town.

After rearranging commune-level administrative units, Quang Binh province has 8 district-level administrative units, including 6 districts, 1 town and 1 city; 145 commune-level administrative units, including 122 communes, 15 wards and 8 towns.

This Resolution comes into force from December 1, 2024.
