On July 25, the Standing Committee of An Giang Provincial Party Committee held a Conference to announce the Politburo's Decision on personnel work.
Attending the conference were Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission Nguyen Duy Ngoc; Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Commission Nguyen Thanh Tam, along with representatives of leaders of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Standing Committee of the Can Tho City Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee.
At the conference, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee Nguyen Thanh Tam announced Decision No. 249-QDNS/TW, dated July 18, 2026 of the Politburo deciding that comrade Le Quang Tung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, will no longer participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and no longer hold the position of Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee and related titles; transfer, assign, and appoint to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, hold the position of Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee for the term 2025 - 2030, and appoint to participate in the Party Committee of Military Region 9.
Speaking to direct at the conference, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc said that comrade Le Quang Tung is assessed as a capable and experienced cadre with scientific and in-depth working methods.
Comrade Nguyen Duy Ngoc requested that Comrade Le Quang Tung in his new position must closely follow the direction of the Central Government, the Politburo, and the Secretariat, with the highest effort and determination, immediately start working, and together with comrades in the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee continue to innovate thinking, leadership methods, direction, and administration, strengthen discipline and order; promote the responsibility of collectives and individuals at the head, dare to embark on new, difficult, and unprecedented tasks, and focus on leading and directing to successfully complete assigned tasks.
Comrade Nguyen Duy Ngoc suggested that it is necessary to focus on leading the work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system in accordance with the spirit and action program to implement the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress. Promoting internal solidarity, creating unity in accordance with the motto set out by the 1st Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term: "One An Giang - One vision - One will - One belief in victory" expressing the aspiration and desire to rise up of the Party Committee and people of An Giang.
Speaking to receive the assignment, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Le Quang Tung expressed his sincere and deepest thanks to Comrade General Secretary, President To Lam; the Politburo, the Secretariat for trusting and assigning important responsibilities to comrade.
Comrade deeply realized that this is a great honor, and at the same time a very heavy responsibility to the Party Committee, government and people of An Giang province and promised to uphold the principles of the Party, strictly comply with the leadership and direction of the Central Government; promote the tradition of solidarity and unity in the Standing Committee, the Standing Board and the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee; uphold the spirit of pioneering, exemplary, dedicated, devoted, daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility for the common good.
Comrade will work with the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee to strive to listen to and be close to the grassroots level, respect and promote the people's right to mastery; promptly grasp and solve practical issues raised; determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress and the Resolution of the 1st An Giang Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
Comrade Le Quang Tung hoped that the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; agencies, departments, branches, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; Party committees and authorities at all levels; together with all cadres, party members and people in the province will continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, joining hands, unity, support and companionship to jointly successfully complete the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people.
With new belief, aspiration and determination, Comrade Le Quang Tung believes that the Party Committee, government and people of An Giang province will continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, dynamism, creativity, effectively exploit potentials and advantages, and build An Giang province to become increasingly developed, rich, civilized, and modern, worthy of the trust of the Central Government and the expectations of the people.
