New Chairman of Khanh Hoa Province Tran Phong is ready to innovate for the development of the province

Khanh Hoa - Mr. Tran Phong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee was elected by delegates to hold the position of Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, term 2021-2026.

On the afternoon of November 19, the People's Council of Khanh Hoa province, term VII, 2021-2026, held a thematic session to approve the content of perfecting and electing the position of Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee.

At the session, Mr. Tran Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, was elected by delegates to hold the position of Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, term 2021-2026.

Also at the meeting, the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council dismissed Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, who was appointed by the Secretariat to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee, from the position of Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and was also elected by the local People's Council to hold the position of Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee.

Speaking at the meeting, the new Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Tran Phong, pledged to act with all responsibilities and aspirations; closely following the leadership of the Central and the Provincial Party Committee; implementing the action program to implement the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress in a practical and effective manner, closely following reality, without formality.

Born on December 16, 1974 in Quang Phuong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province (old), Mr. Tran Phong started working in 1997 at the Quang Binh Mountainous Trading Company Branch.

From August 1999 to December 2002, he held the positions of staff, Deputy Head and then Head of Import-Export Business Department at Quang Binh Mountainous Trading Company.

From January 2003 to November 2003, he held the position of Deputy Director of the Company. After that, he transferred to the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, holding the positions of specialist, Head of Department II, and was elected as a member of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee.

From October 2011 to July 2014, he was a District Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bo Trach district. From August 2014 to September 2016, he held the position of Deputy Head, then Permanent Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, and was also a member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee and Secretary of the agency's Party Cell.

From October 2016 to June 2020, Mr. Tran Phong was Party Secretary, Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Quang Binh province, Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Member of the Provincial Agencies Party Executive Committee.

In July 2020, he was elected Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province. From December 2020 to December 2024, he was a member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Dong Hoi City Party Committee.

From December 2024 to June 2025, he was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province before being appointed Mr. Tran Phong as Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province (new), term 2021-2026.
