On the afternoon of November 19, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision of the Secretariat on personnel work.
The conference was attended by Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van - Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh - Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee and related departments and localities.
At the conference, representatives of the Central Organizing Committee announced the decisions of the Secretariat on Mr. Tran Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, ceasing to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and ceasing to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.
Mr. Tran Phong was transferred and appointed to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term, and was also introduced to be elected Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee.
Mr. Tran Phong was born on December 16, 1974 in Quang Phuong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province (old). Mr. Tran Phong started working in 1997 at the Quang Binh Mountainous Trading Company Branch.
Political theory qualification: Senior; Professional qualification: University of General Business Administration; Degree: Master of Economics.
In July 2020, he was elected Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province. From December 2020 to December 2024, he was a member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Dong Hoi City Party Committee.
From December 2024 to June 2025, he was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province.
From July 1, 2025, Mr. Tran Phong - Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee (new), term 2020 - 2025, was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee (new), term 2021-2026.
Previously, the Secretariat decided to transfer and appoint Mr. Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province - to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee.
After being appointed by the Secretariat as Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council of Quang Tri province elected Mr. Le Hong Vinh to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
In Khanh Hoa province, the Secretariat has decided to appoint and transfer Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee - to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Hue City Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030.
