Attending the meeting were Politburo members: Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien - Vice Chairman of the Council; Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh - Vice Chairman of the Council...
Concluding the Session, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man noted that the election is only about 6 months away, so in the coming time, all consultation work needs to be more focused, ensuring science, flexibility, proactiveness, creativity, early and from afar.
"General Secretary To Lam always attaches importance to and expects success in the election work. Therefore, the preparation for the organization of a National Conference to deploy election work must be standard and effective. There is not much time left to prepare, it is necessary to be focused and synchronized right now" - the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.
The opinions show that there are still some shortcomings, such as some localities are still confused in preparing documents and forms; the application of information technology is still limited and unsynchronized; leading to a large amount of manual work, easily due to errors.
Therefore, the National Assembly Chairman requested more methodical and synchronous preparation, especially in current conditions when applying information technology, digital transformation, applying artificial intelligence... to carry out election work.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man agreed to a National Conference on election implementation organized by the Council, implementing Directives and documents on election work, expected to be held in early November 2025.
The National Assembly Chairman also noted, developing detailed scenarios, assigning tasks to each agency and unit; preparing complete, concise, and easy-to-understand documents; ensuring information security and safety; promoting the role of the press and media in information and propaganda work...
Regarding the Resolution guiding the types of candidate documents, ballots and types of documents used in election work, the National Assembly Chairman stated that the Resolution creates legal unity nationwide; ensuring that all election processes are carried out on the basis of standardized forms.
"Core and strong innovation are still priorities, creating maximum convenience for candidates, election agencies, voters, avoiding errors and lawsuits" - the National Assembly Chairman noted.
The National Assembly Chairman suggested that the Government, ministries, branches, Party committees and the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front... closely follow the content and progress according to the Plan on promulgating documents to serve election work.
At the end of September and October 2025, it is necessary to draft a Report on the expected number, structure, and composition of 16th National Assembly deputies; develop a personnel direction for full-time 16th National Assembly deputies to report to the National Assembly Party Committee for consideration and comments in mid-November 2025.
The Ministry of Finance shall preside over the guidance, preparation of estimates, management, use and settlement of election funds strictly in accordance with legal regulations.
The Ministry of Public Security has built and perfected operations on the VneID application for candidates to facilitate the declaration of documents and reviewing of candidate documents.
