At the talks, the two sides agreed to continue to strengthen political trust by regularly maintaining delegation exchanges, high-level contacts and levels across all channels; promote the effectiveness of existing bilateral cooperation mechanisms, especially the Prime Minister-level Joint Cabinet meeting mechanism and ministerial-level cooperation mechanisms; closely coordinate to effectively implement the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in the coming time.
The two sides agreed to strengthen defense and security cooperation; maintain joint patrols at sea; coordinate the fight against transnational crime, especially drug trafficking, human trafficking and high-tech crime; reaffirm their commitment not to allow any individual or organization to use the territory of one country against another.
In the economic field, the two leaders agreed to effectively implement the "Three Connections" Strategy; promote connectivity in transport, logistics, aviation and tourism; research and develop road and coastal waterway transport routes connecting the two countries and the Mekong sub-region; promote the effectiveness of the Vietnam - Thailand Joint Trade Committee mechanism; limit trade barriers, create favorable conditions for goods to access each other's markets; strive to soon achieve the target of 25 billion USD in trade turnover and towards 50 billion USD in a balanced and sustainable direction.
The two sides also agreed to promote expanding cooperation in the field of agriculture, ensuring food security and new fields such as science, technology, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, digital economy, green economy, equitable energy transition, and innovation.
Prime Minister Le Minh Hung affirmed that Vietnam always welcomes, encourages and creates favorable conditions for foreign investors, including Thailand, to invest and do business in Vietnam.
The Thai Prime Minister highly appreciated Vietnam's investment and business environment; thanked and hoped that the Vietnamese Government would continue to pay attention and support in removing difficulties for Thai businesses operating in Vietnam.
The Prime Minister affirmed that he will encourage Thai businesses to expand investment in areas with strengths and suitable for Vietnam's development orientation; wished Vietnamese businesses to increase investment in Thailand; promote business connections, supply chains and strategic cooperation projects between the two countries.
The two sides agreed to strengthen people-to-people exchanges, cultural and tourism cooperation, and local sisterhood. Prime Minister Le Minh Hung thanked the Thai Government for its concern and support for the Vietnamese community in Thailand, creating conditions for the preservation and promotion of the values of President Ho Chi Minh's relics as well as the Vietnamese pagoda system in Thailand.
The Thai Prime Minister highly appreciated the significance of cooperation between the two countries in the Red-crowned Crane Conservation Project at Tram Chim National Park, affirming that Thailand is ready to transfer red-crowned cranes from Thailand to Vietnam for biodiversity conservation and sustainable development.
