On the morning of March 30, the 15th Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Council, term 2026 - 2031, opened the First Session.
Speaking at the opening of the session, Mr. Nguyen Dang Binh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Council - emphasized that the First Session of the 15th Provincial People's Council is of utmost importance, marking the beginning of a new term.
With the goal of building Thai Nguyen into a modern industrial center with high average income before 2030, the 15th Provincial People's Council needs to continue to inherit and promote the results and experiences through previous terms.
At the same time, promote innovation in thinking, operating methods, and promote the intelligence, bravery, and sense of responsibility of each delegate.
At the Meeting, the Provincial Election Commission reported on the results of the election of provincial People's Council deputies and the results of confirming the status of provincial People's Council deputies of the XV term, term 2026 - 2031.
The voting rate in the province reached 99.97%, electing 10 National Assembly deputies, 59 Provincial People's Council deputies, 1,882 Commune-level People's Council deputies.
Also at the session, it was considered and decided on the structure and organization of the provincial-level government apparatus; elected positions under the authority of the Provincial People's Council.
Accordingly, Mr. Bui Van Luong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the 15th Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Council, term 2026 - 2031.
Mr. Bui Van Luong was born on September 2, 1976, native of Van Xuan ward, Thai Nguyen province, with a high-level political theory level, and holds a PhD in Economic Management.
Before being elected as Chairman of the People's Council of Thai Nguyen province, Mr. Bui Van Luong had held leadership positions such as Chairman of the People's Committee, Secretary of Pho Yen City Party Committee, and Chairman of the Inspection Committee of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee.
In August 2025, Mr. Bui Van Luong was elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee, term XIV, 2021 - 2026.
In March 2026, Mr. Bui Van Luong was elected to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee for the term 2025 - 2030.
